The First Bike Accident

Yesterday was a bad oman for my life. Nothing seemed right from the beginning of the day. The day before yesterday I didn't had dinner so this day I was not feeling quite right after a sleep of more than twelve hours. I had my lunch and left for college. I used to go with big daddy but yesterday he had to take sister to some place so finally I decided to take bike to college. While leaving home I thought about going to HSEB, Sanothimi to collect a form for Bhusal sir's brother to issue transcript for grade 11 and 12. While taking a right turn near this HSEB my bike was hit by another bike which was in higher speed. I was driving quite slow right from my home and moreover it was a turining so I was in a slower pace. And suddenly there was a bang.....

I was lying in the middle of the road with my bike over my right leg. I tried to push my bike to take my leg out but was unable to do so. All of a sudden some crowd covered us and helped me get up. The one that hit my bike was also helped by others to get up. He was crying that I didn't have my indicator on..but he was wrong I had it on. I searched if there was any kind of wound in my body but couldn't find more than some bruises in my right ankle. Then I tried to see if there was anything wrong with my bike. At first there was some petrol leakage which stopped after some time. And I found nothing wrong with my bike. The accident occured in front of a police bit. So there was a policeman as well. Nobody saw nothing wrong at that time. Some two years ago a friend had an accident in a similar manner and unfortunately had lost a piece of his leg bone which is still healing. So I scolded that one guy, thanked god that nothing happened to me and my bike and headed towards HSEB. At that time I didn't even bother to notice the bike or the bike number. My lace of right foot shoes was damaged. So we went our ways.

After I took the form from HSEB and headed for college I felt some unbalance in my bike. I checked the tires if it was punctured. But it was just fine. I felt the same problem even in the smooth road and repeated the same procedure for three-four times. But I couldn't find anything wrong. And finally, when I repeated that once again I saw that the shock of the right side where my bike was hit was bent. Then started the bad part. I started to scold myself for not watching properly at the incident site. Then I couldn't go back to that place and had to head towards the college in a lameless manner. I drove slowly at a maximum of 30 km per hour after that because my bike was unbalanced. Then I went to Om Hospital to meet a friend of mine to collect some money that I had lend him some days ago in order to get my bike fixed. Even there he didn't had money with him at the moment and we had to go to the bank to collect money. Finally he arranged a cheque form one of his collegues but .... the bank was not open in the hospital premise. So we went out had a cup of tea and smoked and then returned back to the hospital. Finally the bank opened and I had some money with me.
Then I headed towards my college and left my bike to get fixed in a nearby garage. The mechanic get it fixed and I paid 2500 Rs. Through out the day I tried to call that police officer at the accident site to know if he has memorised the bike number of the one that hit me. But I couldn't reach him. I thanked my luck that I was in one piece. Later at evening I went to Collins for GRE and then headed back to the same police station and talked with the same policeman. But he denied remembering the number of the bike and I had no other option than to go home helplessly. I didn't tell my parents about what had happened. Just had my dinner and went to my room. All this time I was feeling bad that I had a very bad time and had to waste my money in the maintenance of my bike.

Nevertheless, I was fine with only few bruises........
